Dolly was found beside the road in town. Dolly has CHF and the vet gave her 6 months to live. He said that "Maggie's is the place she needs to be." and I agree. For 6 months or 6 years she will be loved beyond measure.
She doesn't answer to Dolly--she answers to Fuzzy Butt. lol
Duck was found as a stray in Dumas. Texas. He was a referral to Maggie's Chihuahua Refuge and has become part of my heart. He is 4 pounds of mischief and love.
When he barks he quacks like a duck--hence the name.
Sam was found as a stray in Dallas. He loves to explore his surroundings. He is blind in one eye and is hard of hearing.
Mater was an owner surrender. His previous owner was homeless and could not take care of him. He has CHF and as well as PTSD. He has partial loss of sight in one eye after a cat attack. He can be very loving and wants so bad to be part of the group. He found that love and acceptance at Maggie's Chihuahua Refuge.
Jane is a 16 year old young lady. She has been at Maggie's for 2 years. Jane's mamma could no longer care for her so she came to live with me. She loves going places so much that she sleeps on my shoes.
Otis was owner surrendered to the Dallas pound. He appears to have had some head trauma in his former life. He loves to sleep and be loved.
Booger was found walking down the middle of a residential street. No body came forth to claim him so he is fully ensconced at Maggie's Chihuahua Refuge. He loves to lick my toes and and is always happy to see me.
Cricket's owner was no longer able to care for him and his fur sibling. He loves watching everything that is going on at Maggie's. He gets to visit his owner on occasion.
Peaches' human died and the rest of the family was unable to care for her. She is great addition to Maggie's. She thinks she's the queen and always sits on the highest point in the bed.
Todd was found as a stray and no one cared to reclaim him. He was wanted by several rescues but he choose Maggie's. He loves sleeping under the bed and I frequently find my clothes in his "den". After looking for 2 days--that's where I found my glasses. lol A male fox is called a Tod and he looks a lot like a fox.
